I'm my own nation

I can’t tell you how invested I am in healing this character, but it starts with the mess. Before beginning this book I wrote a disclaimer for the reader, realizing later that the warning was for me. I’m descending into some of the scariest parts of myself and my heart is breaking all over again with this frightened girl. She doesn’t know steady trust. She’s swallowed her voice, and her beliefs about herself are tragically flawed. Hope you enjoy a peek at her start.
